FAQ

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Eat a solid meal at least two hours beforehand, and keep in mind that caffeine or other stimulants can make pain feel more intense.

Wear comfortable, adjustable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed, and avoid tight or restrictive items. Be aware that ink splatter can happen, so clothes may get stained.

For longer sessions, bring snacks and warm layers for your comfort. Avoid alcohol the night before and try to skip blood-thinning medications like ibuprofen, as both can increase bleeding and affect your tattoo.

How much will it cost?

Our shop minimum is $150.

Tattoos are priced either by size for smaller, one-session pieces, or by the hour for larger, multi-session work. Erica charges $250 an hour, Kati $200 an hour and Joshua $150 an hour.

The easiest way to get an estimate is to email your artist, book a consultation or stop by the shop. If you have a budget in mind, let us know—we’re happy to help tailor your tattoo to fit.

How should I pay?

Cash is preferred, but if you need to use a different payment type ask your artist beforehand what formats they accept.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes! You can pick from our artists’ original flash designs or bring your own ideas and illustrations. Either way, we’ll work with you to create a tattoo you’ll love.

Please note that our shop hours and ability to take walk-ins may vary depending on artist availability.

How do I care for my new tattoo?

Your skin will be cleaned with a gentle soap and bandaged before leaving the shop. A standard bandage should remain on for at least 2 hours and no more than 12. If your tattoo is bandaged in second-skin/saniderm leave the clear adhesive wrap on for 2-4 days. After the allotted time, or if the wrap begins to peel or any unusual redness or itching occurs, remove the clear adhesive by rinsing under warm water and slowly peeling the adhesive back over itself.

After your bandage is removed, or if it falls off, immediately wash the area with dye + fragrance free soap, warm water and clean hands. Do not use wash cloths or scrubs. Pat with a paper towel and allow the tattoo to fully air-dry, afterwards gently apply a thin layer of unscented lotion over the area.

Continue to wash daily and use unscented lotion sparingly 2-3 times per day until the tattoo is healed and no longer flaking.

FOR THE NEXT FOUR WEEKS:
•
No submerging in water such as tubs, pools, rivers, etc.
• No picking or scratching. If the tattoo feels itchy, you can gently pat the area til it is remedied.
• No direct sunlight or tanning.
• No shaving over the tattoo.
• Keep tattoo free from grease, chemicals, dirt and biohazards.
